I first heard about the Bowen Technique through my sister, Jacqui Hoitingh who had become a practitioner. I had suffered a back problem for years which I had tried to amend with other treatments but I was still left with a dull ache. After I had two or three treatments from Jacqui I found I was pain free. I also have had a Hormonal disorder which I suffered from for nearly a year, and again two treatments and everything returned to normal. I was so impressed by this therapy that I knew I had learn it and pass it on to others.

I studied diligently, and I qualified in September 2004 with the Bowtech Bowen Association. I practice from the Borders Health, Stress and Injuries Clinic, located close to Kelso's wonderful Abbey. I also treat in Galashiels from TLC Borders midweek on Wednesdays.

I have now been a practitioner for 13 years and this remarkable therapy never ceases to amaze me, and how wonderful I feel when I see the results in such a short time. When my clients come to me and I can see the pain in their faces compared to them returning the week after and seeing the improvement, it gives me such a wonderful feeling knowing I had a little parts to do with it.

I would love to continue learning Bowen, especially in learning to combine it with aromatherapy to heigten the experience.
